Scores for fake authenticity is a performance that takes place above ground around the subway entrances and the traffic circle at Strausberger Platz. The three performers —Ronald Berger, Kevin Bonono and Sunny Pfalzer— wear similar costumes and they are shown on three posters in the U-Bhanhof. They pose like pop stars on the posters, creating a tension between the banal and intimate gestures in public space and the “wanting to show”, the “posing for others”. The poster, which functions as an announcement of the performance, turns the banal movements into a show. The poster thus refers to the performativity of the everyday, and therefore to its inherent gender performativity. The repeated encounters with the performers and the recognition of their gestures and costumes create a glitch or déjà vu for the passers-by on their way to the subway.
